What makes this site different

In business there is a huge incentive to benefit from positive reviews, whether the product or service deserves it or not. Unfortunately many products and services sold online, benefit from dishonest reviews. As a customer it is difficult to recognise which reviews are accurate. You don't know who wrote them, and you don't know what incentivised them to leave a review.
This site presents you with reviews from people that you either know directly or are known by your friends, in either case you are giving or receiving information from your own network of people. The incentive now changes to providing accurate information, as people are more likely to be honest if the people reading their reviews are known to them. You can even be more confident in the review if it is endorsed by someone who you know.

But I don't know that many people! What is the chance that someone I know has used the same service/product?

On average we have around 230 social media 'friends', adding to that people we know from work, school, clubs etc. and our community, the average known to us adds up to around 450 people. Each of those people will also have their own network of friends, which they can vouch for (or not). If in fact we knew only 200 people, and each of them knew an additional 100 that we don't know, that would give us a network of 20,000 people. The chances that you use the same restaurant/garage, or buy the same tech products as one of these people are very high. Having access to reliable reviews and recommendations would not only save us from wasting money on poor services and products, but gives us access to recommendations for good venues and experiences. And all of this information reliable and shared freely.

So How Does This Site Work Financially

Because the concept of this site is a good idea, and because I have the skills to make it happen, I thought why not! We will never pass on any of your account details (except that we will pass on your name to your direct friends, so they know who you are) We have a few ideas to fund this. How can such a good idea not attract funding/donations/sponsorship. So this means that the site can be available for free to the user.
Once you have signed up, you can invite your friends using the 'invite' page the more people you connect with, the more reviews you have access to. Every time you use a local business, or buy a product, if you have a good experience (or a bad one), fill in the online form (either just a summary or if you wish add more), and everyone benefits.
